"Finally. Someone took the idea that I had in my mind and actually managed to execute it in a way its customizable, looks good and is easy to use. I used to have 100k songs in old days and everything was neat and clean, because of the tags. Now I have over 3000 playlists that I can clean up. Big thank you!"

2

Run the Installer

Double-click TagifyInstaller.exe and follow the prompts. The installer will automatically install Spicetify and Tagify.

3

Restart Spotify

Close and reopen Spotify. You'll see "Tagify" in your top navigation bar!

Never used Terminal before? No problem!

Just copy and paste these commands one at a time. We'll walk you through it step by step.

1

Open Terminal

On Mac: Press ⌘ Command + Space, type "Terminal", and press Enter.

On Linux: Press Ctrl + Alt + T

Terminal is just a way to type commands to your computer. Don't worry - you can't break anything!

2

Install Spicetify

Click "Copy" below, then paste it into Terminal and press Enter:

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/spicetify/cli/main/install.sh | sh

When it asks "Do you want to install spicetify Marketplace?", Marketplace is a hub where you can install other Spicetify extensions that customize Spotify. Type Y to install it or N to skip, then press Enter.

3

Set Up Spicetify

Click "Copy" below, paste into Terminal, and press Enter:

source ~/.zshrc && spicetify backup apply

Spotify might close and reopen. That's supposed to happen!

4

Install Tagify

Almost there! Click "Copy", paste into Terminal, and press Enter:

curl -fsSL "https://raw.githubusercontent.com/alexk218/tagify/main/install.sh" | bash
5

All Done!

Open Spotify, if it isn't opened already. You will be greeted with a welcome message that Tagify was successfully installed. You did it!
